Mental Health and Well-Being

At Great Milton C of E Primary School we take the mental health of our school community very seriously.  We aim to provide our children with many skills to support their mental health as they grow, develop and experience different situations at primary school and at home.  We support this emotional growth through stories, assemblies, circle times, Forest School sessions and dedicated PSHE lessons and teaching through our carefully selected school values.

We support mental health charities through fundraising events across the year. As a school we have invested in a fantastic scheme called SCARF.  This programme is centred on a values-based and 'Growth Mindset' approach, which promotes positive behaviour: Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience, Friendship (SCARF).  More than just a PSHE scheme of work, SCARF supports great learning every day.

We have added some information, advice, activities and stories for you to share and support you and your child and wider family with their mental health.
